ABOUT US
Ours is a story of restoring the dignity of a girl child from an impoverished background.In 2005 the journey of hope begun for the youth across Bushbuckridge after the visionary, Mrs. Creseldah Ndlovu, heeded the callof the soul to be the help she once needed. Born from a single parented household, at the age of 16 she assumed the role of parentto her siblings as her mother’s working schedule allowed her to only come home once every 3 months. The responsibilityincreased, as she had to juggle schoolwork, family and social engagements.Out of compassion, as a woman who is not afraid to show people her heart, in 2005 she got into community development workwith one vision – to contribute to the eradication of poverty within rural areas by cultivating the culture of education amongstyoung people.
Creseldah Ndlovu, a multi-award-winner & Social Entrepreneur for her humanitarian & philanthropist work since 2005. Amongsther many inspirational empowerment programs she has been doing, one includes the distributions of “Sanitary Pads” to theneedy girls, both “disposable & reusable pads” which she was outsourcing from other places.Until in 2016, where she decided to make her own washable and reusable pads through her fashion designing skills. Finally in2019, CefPads Washable & Reusable pads were launched, The pads accommodates all women during their menstruation cycles,breastfeeding and everyday use pantyliners.
WHAT WE DO
At CefPads, we EDUCATE, EMPOWER & PROMOTE HYGIENE to young girls and women. We manufacture our own “brand”washable & reusable pads using sustainable, breathable and super absorbent fabrics. We don’t only have menstruation pads butwe also have breastfeeding/nursing pads & diapers inserts for breast feeding moms & babies. Every women areaccommodated since we also have Reusable Pantyliners for everyday use.
WHY CEFPADS
The pads are ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY & LONG-TERM SOLUTION. Our pads are super absorbent with wings, Less period painswhen using cloth pad. Extra soft and comfortable. With extra care, pads can last up to 3-5 years. Saving a lot of money, the packagingcomes with wet-bag to keep soiled pads.Each pads has a label, for washing and care instructions, Our pads has four different sizesand doubled layers, as insiders. No SIDE LINKS at all & do not retains STAINS.
The inevitable impact
– Social and emotional Impact – When a girl knows that they have a pad readily available to use every month – a pad that is safeand comfortable, at that, the anxiety that comes with dreading their monthly periods goes away and school is not missed. As such,we have confident girls with an opportunity to make the most out of education opportunity without worrying about what’shappening to their body.
– Positive environmental impact – decrease in the amount of waste dumped in water bodies [rivers, streams etc] and on land as theCefPads will replace the disposable pads.
– Economic impact – CefPads are a cost-saving alternative. They will eliminate the monthly of sanitary pads and tampons.
– Socioeconomic impact– Seamstresses we have, are local women whom we have trained [skill development and job creation].
